This means that the candidate and supervisor should report separately.
The reports supplement the ongoing supervision of the project and the candidate, and they should provide the institution with information about the status of the project and the supervision.
They should also detect and remedy any lack of progress on the project and the mandatory part of the programme, and any shortcomings in the supervision. A lack of or inadequate reporting may result in involuntary termination before the end of the contract period, cf. Section 7-3 of the Regulations. Supervisors who fail to fulfil their reporting obligations may have their supervisory responsibilities removed.
