Working Group on R&D Organisation

A working group tasked with assessing the organisation of R&D activities began its work in May. The results of their efforts are expected during the autumn.

The R&D working group are

Mandate

  1. The group will assess whether the organisation of R&D activities within the current three R&D centres is appropriate, and if necessary, propose alternative organisational structures.
  2. They will evaluate collaboration and the distribution of authority and responsibility in the R&D area, including the relationships between:
    1. Centre leaders and the R&D Committee/Vice-Rector for R&D
    2. Centre leaders and heads of academic departments
    3. Programme committees for doctoral education, centre leaders, and heads of academic sections
  3. The group will review and propose changes to mandates and guidelines in the R&D area, including:
    1. The mandate for the R&D Committee
    2. The overarching mandate for the R&D centres
    3. The guidelines for heads of academic departments
  4. If necessary, they may propose new mandates and/or guidelines.
