Ljøsblått is the annual folk music festival at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH). It is organised by the folk music students at the Academy and has free entrance for everyone. There will be dancing, concerts, jams, and parties every night. The festival has the highest feel-good factor in all of Oslo, so it's definitely worth a visit!
Ljøsblått 2024 will be held on Thursday 21 November, and Friday 22 November at Chateau Neuf.
Criteria for Performing
All types of bands and ensembles – large and small, from solo acts to orchestras – and genre mixes are welcome, but folk music must be a significant part of the musical expression.
It doesn't have to be folk music from Norway. All folk music from around the world is welcome!
The festival is mainly for students. Including external performers is not a problem, but note that Ljøsblått 2024 unfortunately cannot offer compensation.
