Academic requirements Master of music performance

Repertoire and interpretation (UTREPINT77) and master thesis (UTMASTER77).

Both of these courses require a public recital of repertoire. The academic affairs committee has decided upon (4 February 2021) the following adaptations for spring 2021:

  • The definition of «public recital» as academic requirement in the subjects UTREPINT77 and UTMASTER77 is to include digital concerts published on public web pages, recordings and internal recitals at NMH. An internal recital can include recitals conducted in a teacher office with the minimum of principal instrument instructor present. The repertoire must be performed in its entirety and be audio-visually documented. Principal instrument instructor can confirm completion of the academic requirement.

Practicals

This applies to students following the bachelor programme of music in music education(KAMP) and Master of Music therapy (MAMT):

  • Academic staff at NMH, in collaboration with course supervisors, will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the scope of practical experience that has been possible for each individual student throughout the academic year, and facilitate compensating alternatives where necessary.

Assessment and exams in remaining courses

A review of all subjects due to assessment in spring 2021 has been conducted. Some of these subjects require alternative academic requirements and methods of assessment. In the overview below you can track any potential changes. The overview is sorted alphabetically by subject code.
