Per Vollestad will present and discuss his recent book about Norwegian resistance songs from the Second World War. These songs were created by amateurs in times of struggle and defiance. The book is the first presentation of this fascinating and perhaps overlooked part of Norwegian music history.

Per Vollestad will give a short presentation, followed by questions and an open discussion. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

About Per Vollestad

Per Vollestad was the first PhD candidate at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 1999, and he completed his project about Christian Sinding's songs in 2002. Vollestad has had a distinguished career as a singer, with performances at many of the world's most prestigious stages. In later years, he has explored a wide range of vocal repertoire, from advertisement jingles to cabaret tunes.
