Seminar on talent development in jazz and rhythmic music

-

The Talent Development Programme at NMH and the Department of Jazz and Improvised Music invite you to a seminar on talent development in jazz and rhythmic music.

Karina Krokaa

The seminar will serve as a meeting place for everyone working with young talents in jazz and rhythmic music to share knowledge, experiences, and methods.

Key Theme: Diversity and Recruitment

  • What can we, as professionals in talent development, do to promote gender balance and greater diversity, both within talent development programmes and among applicants to our programmes and higher music education?
  • Who should we collaborate with to ensure a diverse pool of applicants and to reach underrepresented groups?

In this context, diversity is understood broadly, encompassing factors such as gender, socio-cultural background, and musical expressions, among others.

The seminar is funded through NMH’s strategic resources (ansatt.nmh.no).
