The fellows explore understandings of both the concept of music and the concept of practice in different music research traditions. They examine their own research on music practice(s), and they investigate music practices from a socio-cultural perspective.
The result is six presentations to which the public is invited. The presentations constitute the final documentation of the course Research on Music Practices, a program course of 4 ECTS in the PhD program in Music Research. The course encompasses all PhD students in the program, regardless of subject area.
Most of the presentations will be in Norwegian.
